PNGRB Plans a 425-Km Gas Pipeline for Meeting Energy Demands in Tamil Nadu, Kerala

PNGRB has put forward a proposal for a 425-km natural gas pipeline connecting Petronet LNG’s import terminal at Kochi in Kerala to Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu through Kanyakumari.

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has put forward a proposal for a 425-km natural gas pipeline to meet the energy demand in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. As per the notice seeking public consultation, the suggested pipeline will connect Petronet LNG’s import terminal at Kochi in Kerala to Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu through Kanyakumari. The proposed pipeline will end at Thoothukudi into another gas pipeline that connects with IndianOil’s LNG import terminal at Ennore in Tamil Nadu.
