Kazakhstan has begun construction of its first large-diameter steel pipe manufacturing plant with a foundation stone-laying ceremony. The new plant, named the Caspian pipe plant, will be capable of producing vertically welded steel pipes with diameters reaching up to 1,420 mm.
Once operational, the plant will have an annual production capacity of 150,000 tonnes, catering to key sectors such as oil and gas, energy, construction, and public utilities. The project is expected to generate over 100 permanent jobs.
